Well, I find myself in my new job now. Working for the Florida Department of Corrections as one of their "distributed computers system analyst", or IT Geek for short.

I have traded an at home remote job for my own corner view office with its own bathroom and my own personal parking spot. Guess I can not say "traded" though as I had no option to stay with the remote job as Quest Diagnostics decided it would be in their best interest to shutter the laboratory I was supporting. It was either finding a job or trying to survive on unemployment. As normal God opened the doors I needed to maintain.

Unfortunately, Dougal has not been approved as of yet to come to work with me. I do have hopes that it will be done as most of my time is done in my office away from (outside) the prison I support. I am working on the paperwork now for reasonable accommodations for modification of the policies. I may have to do a little tap dance about this in the future as our main office, which this stuff has to flow through may not understand that I have my own office and will be able to leave Dougal here when I have to go inside the fences, but we will have to wait and see.

I have also found out that inmate dog training is a really big thing here in Florida. We have a training program for Warriors for K9s here and several others very close by. There are lots of possibilities, but we will have to see if I can make any of them come to fruition.
