Peaches has hit 10 M/O! She has developed so well. She has turned into my wife's velcro dog, just what we were hoping would happen. She is also a huge ball of energy right up there with Dougal! I so wish I had half of either dogs energy level.
She (Peaches) loves everyone and everything. Her butt creates a sonic boom every time someone comes by as her rear goes into overdrive. I have fun watching her try to figure out things around her, butterflies being my favorite as she will follow them for as long as she can, so sweet! So she has the attitude for service work, but she still has some problems.
Still not fully housebroken, though a lot better than 6 months ago. I have since had to start working outside the house so training has become very difficult to do myself. I simply don't have the time, energy, or gumption. So what to do?
We are headed to a family wedding in July with Dougal going with us but Peaches is not even close to being at that point. I have folded over and decided to do a board and train. Off-Leash K9 won my consideration based on word of mouth and after talking to the company. So, she will be headed to Davenport, Florida on the 2nd of July for 2 weeks to get her base and mid-level obedience training. From there we should be able to figure out if we want to task train her and start those along with Public Access training.
I will keep everyone advised as we get updates from the trainer.
