SDA Classifieds

Honestly, our Classified addon came to me by luck. It was gifted to the site by the add-on designer via a raffle, with lifetime updates. From the start I envisioned several good things we could do with this add-on, but on the same hand a lot of negatives.

The Positives:

• Members being able to offer their used equipment to others who could use it.
• Members simply give away unused equipment.
• Crafters being able to sell their wares here.

The Negatives:

• No real way to make sure the sales are litigatmate.

So what to do? Put it up of course, with disclaimers. This is a free service, meaning that the Service Dog Advocate does not make a cent off of any sale from any of its members. However, I do place items from the SDA store here on the Classifieds, these items ARE backed by the site as I make them and store items help pay for the site and the rest is donated to service dog trainers.

For buyers and sellers, this is a buyer-beware area. If you are buying something make sure you use something like PayPal that offers you some sort of protection. Sellers, it is up to you to make sure you follow up with those wanting to buy. Provide them with a good way to pay and include ways for the buyer to be able to track their package(s).

On the site side, those that are found to be selling questionable items, or plain scamming they are automatically banned.
