To introduce myself, I'm in my 60s and live in Michigan with my husband (who has an ESA), my 2 parrots, and my service dog Maisie. I will tell our story sometime...blog area here I come! Maisie and I have been a team since spring of 2019, she assists me with ADLs that I can't perform myself as well as other things that she has just started doing on her own that make my life easier. She is my first service dog, I acquired her once I saw what my disabilities were doing in my relationship with my husband - so many things he had to help me with that a dog could do, we were losing the romance... Anyway, I am here for reading about others' experiences, have a couple of "new training" questions, etc. Glad to have found the site today.
